Where do you deliver to?
- We deliver to the UK, Europe (inc Switzerland & Norway), Australia, NZ and Singapore.
- We are working on solutions for America and the rest of world, and aim to have these in place by August 1st 2026
How is the Brickle packaged?
- For UK deliveries each Brickle is packaged in a double-walled cardboard box.
- Cardboard edge protectors cover all edges, and crushable corner protectors provide extra cushioning.
- All packaging is made from FSC-sourced, recyclable materials.
- Our courier partner, Kinetic, will unpack and place the Brickle in the room of your choice, then remove any packaging you’d like them to take away.
- For international deliveries, in addition to the above the Brickle is sat on a custom sized pallet that fits the footprint of the Brickle.
- In addition to this there are additional protections in place against forklift and other possible sources of damage.
How does delivery work?
- For the UK: Delivery is free.
- Once your order is complete and signed off at the workshop, our UK courier partner Kinetic will contact you by SMS and email to arrange a convenient delivery date and three-hour time window.
- On delivery day, you’ll be able to track the Kinetic van online and follow its progress.
- A two-person Kinetic team will deliver your Brickle — along with any shelves or stools ordered — to the room of your choice, unbox it, and remove any unwanted packaging.
- For International shipping: Delivery is provided by our partner DHL, and is quoted at checkout.
- Within Europe there will be an economy and express option.
- Critical to note is that for international delivery this done 'curb side'. The driver may be willing to assist you in carrying it into your home but we cannot guarantee this. Therefore, please ensure two adults are potentially available to take it from curb side into your home.
Can I arrange delivery for a specific date?
- For UK deliveries: Yes, once your order is complete, Kinetic will email you with available delivery dates to choose from.
- For International deliveries, once your order has shipped, DHL will keep you updated directly by email or SMS. If the proposed delivery date is inconvenient, DHL will usually provide options to help you manage your delivery and arrange a more suitable date within seven days of the original date proposed by them.
How long will it take for my Brickle to arrive?
- Every Brickle is individually manufactured, finished and prepared for dispatch in our workshop.
- Please allow up to 4 weeks for manufacture, quality inspection and packaging before your order is shipped. Many orders are completed sooner, but during busy periods the full lead time may apply.
- Once dispatched, most deliveries are completed within 2 weeks, although transit times may vary depending on destination and carrier schedules.
We will keep you updated throughout the process and provide tracking information once your order has been shipped.

Are there any special requirements for delivery?
- You’ll need to be at home to receive the delivery.
- Please check that any doorways, corridors or stairways the Brickle must pass through are at least 59 cm wide — this is the narrowest dimension of the Brickle while still boxed.
Are your products safe for children?
- Yes. We design our furniture according to both common sense, and strict UK/EU safety standards.
- Our own children use the Brickle, the Brickle Bach, the shelves and the stools daily.
- Like LEGO, we recommend the Brickle for children aged 4 years and up.

How strong are the drawers?
- The drawers are certified to withstand up to 45 kg when extended.
Where can I find product dimensions?
- Each product page includes an image listing all technical details, including dimensions and materials.
How should I take care of my Brickle?
- Wipe with a cloth dampened with warm water.
- No special cleaning products are required — the Brickle will age gracefully with use.
- You can reapply ‘Feed N Wax’ oil to the end grain after a few years if you wish. Do so in a well-ventilated space and allow the piece to aerate for five days.
Can products be customised
- Yes. We offer custom colour options — see our Customisation page.
- These take longer to produce, as each paint mix is created and tested individually.
Can I return my order?
Yes.
United Kingdom
Customers in the UK may return their order within 90 days of delivery for any reason. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.
International Orders
Customers outside the UK may return their order within 14 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, duties, taxes and customs charges.
If your order arrives damaged or you believe there is a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the packaging and the affected area so that we can investigate.

What happens if my Brickle arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, or you believe there is a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
To help us investigate the issue, we may ask you to provide:
- Photographs of the external packaging
- Photographs of the affected area of the product
- A short video demonstrating the issue, where appropriate
Depending on the circumstances, we may provide replacement parts, arrange a repair, replace the product, offer a partial refund, or offer a full refund.

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes.
We use premium materials and high-quality components designed to provide many years of use, and every Brickle is backed by our 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
If a fault develops during the warranty period, please contact us with photographs and a description of the issue. Depending on the circumstances, we may provide replacement parts, arrange a repair, replace the product, or offer another appropriate remedy.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper assembly, unauthorised modifications, or damage resulting from failure to follow the product instructions.

What if something breaks years down the line?
- The birch plywood we use is exceptionally strong — the only part likely to wear over time is a drawer runner under heavy load.
- Whatever happens, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to get your Brickle back in action. We have designed these to last a lifetime (or two), but we are a young company so have yet to see if we've done a good job. Our oldest prototype Brickle in active service is 4 years old, and going strong still.
How do Brickle ensure no toy parts fall through the filter holes onto the floor
- The movements of the second, third and fourth drawer which are the main storage drawers have been designed so that it is impossible to open a drawer which has filter holes in it without the drawer below it also opening.
- This has been done because to avoid LEGO or any other toy parts going through the filtration holes and onto the floor there must always be a receiving drawer ready to catch them.
- Additionally this is why there is a chamfered side on the drawers to ensure maximum chance that no pieces involuntarily leave the Brickle.
Do the filter holes really work?
- Yes - but they have good points and not so good points! Here's our thoughts on their workings.
- Where they work well is in providing a general level of size sorting when used over multiple play sessions. For example, if you are looking for a small grey piece you are always best to start your search in the bottom drawer of that colour.
- Where they struggle:
i) They don't 100% guarantee separation of all small pieces, mid pieces and large pieces into each respective drawer level. Sometimes small pieces in the upper drawers can evade the filter holes - despite encouragement. So if you are looking for something small, start at the bottom but you may still need to go to the drawer above.
ii) Long thin pieces can, if aligned, go through the filter holes so you may find pieces that you don't think of as small, sometimes making their way to the lowest drawer.
iii) Some pieces of LEGO such as flower stalks get slightly stuck half way through a filter hole. We found that rather than ramming from above the best approach is to unblock them from below with just a push from your finger. In all the testing we have done we have never had a piece permanently stuck or even stuck to the level we needed to use significant force. However, what these pieces do is slow up the level of filtration since they're blocking a hole. Therefore occasionally checking your filter holes to ensure they're clear is a good idea.
What materials are used in Brickle products?
- All Brickle products are made from European FSC-certified birch plywood.
- Painted versions are finished in marine-grade paint from Symphony Coatings, with the end grain sealed using ‘Feed N Wax’ — a blend of beeswax and orange oil for durability and richness.
- The paint is non-toxic, lead-free and child-safe.
- Oak versions are finished solely with ‘Feed N Wax’. The additional application and aeration time partly explains their higher price.
- Drawer runners are made of recyclable metal, with a small percentage of plastic in the soft-close mechanism.
- The lowest drawer includes two crescent-shaped teflon-coated curves to glide smoothly over carpets.

Where are Brickle products made?
- Every Brickle is built at the workshop of our sister company, Swallow Yachts, run by my brother Matt.
- Matt has over 20 years of experience in yacht design and manufacturing — skills we now apply to the Brickle.
- Both yachts and Brickles are currently made under the same roof, though planning permission has been granted for a dedicated Brickle workshop nearby.
How much waste is produced
- We aim to waste as little wood and paint as possible — partly for sustainability, but also because both are so expensive!
- The design of the Shelves and Stools is such that it uses parts of the sheets that the Brickles don't. We might soon be introducing Brickle mug coasters since we still have a little wood left over. However...
- Remaining small pieces are used to heat the workshop through the winter - so we do need some leftovers!
What skills does the Brickle encourage?
- The Brickle helps children develop fine motor skills, spatial awareness and problem-solving through the natural act of sorting, building and rebuilding.
- It also fosters focus and organisation.
- Above all, we created the Brickle to nurture creativity — to help children build freely, without instruction, and gain confidence in their own ideas.
How does it support creative or STEM play?
- By making LEGO easy to access and sort, the Brickle removes barriers that interrupt creative flow.
- Children can explore structure, pattern and design — the foundations of STEM thinking — while learning to plan, test and refine ideas in hands-on play.
Is it suitable for Neurodiverse children? In particular those with Autism or ADHD?
- A number of parents of neurodivergent children have shared with us positive experiences from their childrens use of a Brickle.
- Firstly, for an autisitc child the Brickle’s sense of order and clear structure was calming and empowering. The sorting by colour or shape offered satisfying focus, and the dedicated workspace helped reduce distractions.
- A mother of a child with ADHD noted that the reduced search time for pieces increased their childs desire to 'stick at it' when creating their own build.
- Every child is different. We are not claiming it as a panacea for all. We are also NOT experts in the field of Neurodiversity in children. This is just feedback to us, from parents. You, as a parent will be the best judge of whether the Brickle would be appreciated and engaged with by your child.
What is the Good Play Guide
- The Good Play Guide is an independent organisation founded by Dr Amanda Gummer, a leading child development expert with over 20 years’ experience in psychology, education, and parenting research.
- The Guide reviews and rates toys, games, and activities to assess how well they support children’s learning and development.
- Each product is tested by children and evaluated by experts for factors such as fun, engagement, and developmental value — helping parents choose toys that are not only enjoyable but genuinely beneficial for their child’s growth.
- We are proud that the Brickle passed these tests and is recommended by the Good Play Guide.
How much LEGO can a Brickle hold?
- The Brickle Bach comfortably holds up to 9 kg of LEGO, and the full-size Brickle around 15 kg.
- Beyond this, the filter system becomes less effective and pieces may spill between lanes.
- (We’ll include an image comparison showing what 9 kg of LEGO looks like!)
Brickle or Small Brickle?
- If you have the space and expect your LEGO collection to grow, we recommend the full-size Brickle.
- You can always store other toys in spare lanes until more LEGO arrives.
- The five-lane design and larger play deck give a richer building experience.
Can it be moved easily?
- It can be moved, but not easily — it’s a two-person job.
- The Brickle weighs around 60 kg; the Bach, 45 kg.
What other toys work well with a Brickle?
- The Brickle works beautifully for K’NEX and Playmobil, both of which have mixed-size parts that sort well through the filter system.
- LEGO Duplo, however, is too large to filter effectively.
What size space do I need?
- The Brickle measures 100 cm wide × 65 cm deep (the Bach is 63 cm × 65 cm).
- For best play allow about 50cm either side of your Brickle for children and adults can access the drawers and play deck easily.
- If you plan to place it in a corner then the Brickle Bach works better as its less wide meaning all pieces can still be accessed despite it being in a corner.
What other furniture can it double as?
- A chest of drawers: One of my brothers older daughters has bagged up her LEGO from their early Brickle prototype and now uses it as her clothes chest of drawers. This is mainly because of her desire to have the top ‘special pieces’ drawer for her collection of jewellery and makeup. Additionally she has the extension we’ve been developing attached to the bottom of the Brickle (which we will be releasing in 2026 - see image in section titled 'future' below) so the storage capacity actually matches or exceeds most chest of drawers.
- A coffee table: One of our early customer was a grandparent who wanted it for different visiting sets of grandchildren. It lives in their sitting room, and in between visits they clear the surface of LEGO and use it for magazines and newspapers. I suspect they also have a quiet play when the grandchildren leave.
Can adults use it comfortably?
- Yes. Provided you use a stool or small chair. Kneeling or crouching for long periods is getting difficult at 40+!
- As said earlier, since your legs cannot go underneath the playdeck adult customers typically position the stool at the corner and have one leg to the front of the Brickle and the other to the side. We have played for many hours in this position with our children.
What's in the pipeline?
- We’re developing an extension that doubles storage capacity, increasing the total load to around 28 kg.
- It fits beneath the current Brickle and adds two more filtration levels. - see central White Brickle (with extension) in the image.
- However, installation will involve rearranging the drawers, which means users will have to know one end of a screw driver from another! - So we’re planning to only release it once we're certain we've made the process as easy as possible.
- All existing Brickles will be backward compatible.
Planned release: Summer 2026.
What future sizes and designs are you considering?
- We’re musing making a four-lane version, midway between the current Brickle and the Bach but we're not yet convinced theres a need.
- Matt is also often daydream designing an adult Brickle. The idea would be that you can sit at it, effectively a table for casual adult LEGO fans that could double as a home office. (Yes, you could technically “build” during video calls!)
- Early stages for now — ideas welcome.
When will Brickle be available internationally?
- Europe: Selling from the UK into Europe has become a little more complex, but we have a plan. Target: Summer 2026.
- USA: We are investigating potential options for production in the USA itself. We are talking to workshops there and hope to be able to offer Brickles for sale in the USA by Summer 2026
- Rest of World: To be confirmed.
