Collection: Stools

Made from the excess sections of the same premium plywood sheets as the Brickle and Brickle Bach, our stools evolved through just as many prototypes. We refined everything: the depth of the handle (our early handle was far too wide for my youngest to sit comfortably), the angle of the shelving, the balance, the weight, the stance. Passing UK and European safety standards turned out to be the easy bit — getting sign-off from my wife and children took far longer.

The result is a pair of stools that we think are as practical as they are pretty: easy to carry, surprisingly robust, and genuinely comfortable for both children and adults. And when they’re not in use, they nest together neatly — packing away tidily so they're not in the way. In our own home they’re the pieces that get the most use — dragged, climbed on, knocked about — and they’ve stood up to it all beautifully.
